Instructions

  1. Gather all required downloads from the list above and put them on to a USB for easy access

  2. Make note of the ESS number for victor client, if you are installing the APP SERVER

  3. Plug the unit into power, monitors, ethernet, keyboard & mouse

  4. At this point the set up box will be present on the screen

  5. Set up for personal use

  6. Skip any warranty screens

  7. Don't use history

  8. Only one keyboard layout

  9. When it asks for the username, click on “Offline account“ and/or “I don't have this users sign on information“

  10. Credentials:

    1. Username: VEadmin

    2. Password: V#Xellet2

    3. Choose anything for the three hints, all with the answer of “survone”

  11. Finish the set up and load into the Desktop

  12. Change PC Name:

    1. In the search bar, type in “This Pc” and right-click on “properties“

    2. Change the name to the following format: PCC0XXX0X

    3. REBOOT

  13. Create the VEuser account:

    1. type “user” in the search bar and create another offline account:

      1. Username: VEuser

      2. Password: VEclient

      3. Choose anything for the three hints, all with the answer of “survone”

  14. Update PC

    1. run all required updates (YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE INTERNET ACCESS)

    2. reboot and check for updates until no more appear

  15. Install any Dell updates

  16. Install .NET 3.5

  17. Plug in your USB labeled WORKSTATION with required files and start the copy

    1. Use Victor 5.6 zip file

    2. wait for this transfer to finish

  18. Install all files with in the copied folder, running Victor Unified last

    1. reboot before installing Victor

    2. Install and please make note if you are installing an APP SERVER (Victor Unified) or not

    3. REBOOT

    4. If installing the app server, you will see “Server Configuration“ and “Licensing“ as two extra apps that appear on the desktop

  19. After programs have been installed,

    1. Open up Victor Client and create the Investigator role for the VEuser account

  20. Generate Host ID file using the License manager program

  21. Upload .lic file

  22. Confirm system is licensed

  23. Login into VEuser and confirm correct roles have been applied
